What is the cost for using the EAP?

There is no cost to individuals for using the services provided by Employee Assistance Programs. The EAP program has been prepaid by employers as a benefit to employees and to eligible family members. Counselors for the EAP programs can explain the range of services that the programs provide.

However, some life problems may require the help of outside professionals, such as attorneys, mediators,or mental health specialists. The EAPs can refer you to these service provides. These external service providers are not covered by the program and entail paying fees.

How do I know if my issue is covered by your services?

Call your EAP provider. Professional counselors can help you with the issue that you may be experiencing. If it is a problem that isn’t covered by the service, they can also point you in the right direction to a qualified external provider.
