Network of Professionals

Often times, complex cases require input from other professionals.

Mental health specialist such as a doctor, psychiatrist or therapist may prove extremely helpful in developing a successful outcome for a client. Professionals may have a well established relationship with the person and have information that is not possible to obtain in a brief timeframe.

Professionals also help to give us a better understanding of “the big picture” from a third person point of view – someone who is looking out for the well being and best interest of the person.

Many juvenile and adult criminal cases have mental health components, trauma, mitigating factors, and other surrounding facts that need to be exposed in order to present the best defense possible for the person. At all times, a clients’ privacy is protected and the appropriate protocols for medical releases are followed. All clients have an right to elect not to sign a release or not to engage in this process.

Resources include probation officers, school teachers, therapist, mental health specialist, special education advocates, and family members. All can provide valuable information to putting together a complete picture of the case.
